Job Vacancy - Assistant Compliance Inspector

We have a vacancy for an Assistant Compliance Inspector to support the work of the PCCB Inspection Team working eight days per calendar month.  We would like the successful candidate to take up the post on 1 November, or as soon as possible thereafter.

The job holder will be self-employed and based from home but is required to travel within England, Wales and Scotland as agreed with the Chief Compliance Inspector to conduct a Search Code inspection.

The daily rate of pay is £290.00 plus all reasonable travel expenses. The job holder will not be provided with a car and is expected to arrange their own transport.

As a PCCB Assistant Compliance Inspector your regular duties will include – 

  • Processing new applications from potential subscribers to the Search Code
  • Carrying out annual renewal checks and undertaking physical compliance inspections at the code subscribers’ place of work or on a video call.
  • Producing timely reports following inspections
  • Reviewing/writing Compliance Notes and drafting Bulletins
  • Taking part in PCCB online Compliance Forums
  • Carrying out research and other tasks as directed by the Chief Compliance Inspector.

Good inter-personal communication skills and a professional manner will be essential as you will have direct contact with Code Compliance Officers and Senior Executive Officers.

Candidates should have knowledge and understanding of the Search Code Rules and Regulations required for compiling/retailing property searches. 

Due to the sensitive information that subscribers may share as part of the job; a Confidentiality Clause will be included in the contract. The successful candidate must not be actively involved with any other Property Search firm.
