New Content for Search and HIP Code Workshop

The PCCB is pleased to confirm that the first Search and HIP Codes Workshop of 2009 is set for Thursday 19 February at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel in Manchester.

To ensure delegates receive the maximum possible benefit from their time at these events, a new format has been introduced which will see initial sessions devoted specifically to delegates that haven’t attended a workshop before. In addition, there will be revised industry ‘update’ sessions covering the specific search and HIP markets including of course the current Code reviews and matters related to the ending of the transitional arrangements in early April and also a new session to cover PCCB’s activities and involvement in the wider property and regulatory arenas. The workshop will conclude with a review of the latest findings from PCCB’s inspection activities including best practice advice for registered firms.

As well as being a constructive and beneficial event for Code subscribers, these workshops also serve a valuable role for PCCB itself in its aim to continually review, improve and strengthen its compliance activities. Similarly, the Code sponsors AHIPP and CoPSO also gain valuable feedback on the application of their respective Codes n the market place which feeds into their Code review processes.

With plenty of opportunities for delegates to ask questions of the presenters, these events are always well subscribed so delegates are advised to book early. As before, this Workshop is free. Any non-registered firm wishing to attend should contact PCCB via e-mail at info@propertycodes.org.uk although priority will be given to firms already registered under the HIP Code and/or Search Code.

Details of other Workshops in 2009 will be confirmed in due course. Provisional dates and locations are: 14 May (Bristol), 17 September (Birmingham) and 26 November (London).
