The Council of Property Search Organisations (CoPSO) held its annual conference in Derby last year on 16th October. Following on from the success of the previous year, the format remained much the same starting with a Code Compliance Workshop in the morning which will cover the new compliance notes and any issues that members would like to raise.

All Code Subscribers are encouraged to attend and there are three free places for each company, with one place specifically for your Code Compliance Officer.

Guest speakers in the afternoon were - 
Mike Westcott-Rudd, Head of Corporate Legal Services at the Land Registry
Toby Perkins MP, Shadow Minister for SMEs
Russell Hewitson, Chair of the Law Society Searches Working Party

The day started with coffee and registration at 9.45am and finished around 4.15pm. There was then be an informal dinner with a pre-dinner drinks reception at 6.30pm (kindly sponsored by CLS and Future Climate Info).

Entertainment was provided by A J Lewis who has performed internationally in various musicals including Thriller, The Blues Brothers and Joseph. This was kindly being sponsored by PSG.
